When stars appear overhead, step back inside and wash off the day in the shower room before sloping off to sleep in one of three bedrooms; choose from a double and two twins. The park is in a great location, not far from well-known attractions including Cornwall's Eden Project and its tropical biomes and the Japanese Gardens, a picturesque garden inspired by the Far East. Newquay is close by if you'd rather spend the day at the beach; the area is home to some of the world's most beautiful beaches, including Fistral, Towan, and Bedruthan, all offering endless seaside fun.

Keen ramblers can instead enjoy the array of stunning walks surrounding the park; at the park's base, you'll find a bridge across a small stream, which connects to a fantastic, wooded walk that follows the winding River Menalhyl all the way to the idyllic, dog-friendly shores of Mawgan Porth. Mawgan Porth is a secluded cove on the north Cornish coast between Newquay and Padstow, known for its golden sand beach, excellent surfing, and proximity to several caves and a coastal path. Take a relaxing stroll along the cliffs as the sun shines down, learn to surf, or keep an eye on the waves below. Mawgan Porth is filled with excellent dining options, including Paul Ainsworth's No. 6 and Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant, and the adults-only Scarlet Hotel, which offers Spa services to visitors but not guests. Tennis courts, a pitch and putt, and an 18-hole golf course overlook the Atlantic Ocean in Mawgan Porth, which also features a small selection of shops, including a village store and deli and a farm shop selling meat, eggs, vegetables, bread, and pasties made from local ingredients.
