Catch up on your sleep in either the double or twin room and in the morning enjoy watching the sun rise with your morning coffee on your private decking before venturing out to explore. Take advantage of Sun Haven Holiday Park’s fabulous coastal woodland setting by ambling through the myriad of woodland walks or head straight for the award-winning, Blue Flag beach which is just a stone’s throw away. The park offers the best of both breath-taking countryside and stunning coast; begin your exploration by crossing the stream at the bottom of the park to start your journey through the majestic woodlands housing the River Menalhyl to the white, sandy shores of Mawgan Porth.

While here, stop off at the Merrymoor Inn to reward yourself with a traditional Cornish Ale. Make your way to Newquay, which lies nearby, to take to the open water amidst surfers at Fistral and Towan Beach and Bedruthan Steps. Or, for those who would rather explore inland, head to The Japanese Gardens to meander through their tranquil and Eastern inspired gardens or to The Eden Project to admire its famous tropical biomes. Mawgan Porth is a secluded bay located between Newquay and Padstow on the stunning north Cornish coast, and it features a golden sand beach, excellent surf, and a coastal footpath with numerous caves to explore. Relax in the warm summer sun, master the art of wave riding, or take a leisurely stroll along the cliffs while keeping an eye on the waves. Nearby Mawgan Porth is a plethora of high-end dining options, including Paul Ainsworth's No. 6 and Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant, and the wonderful adults-only Scarlet Hotel, which offers Spa treatments and amenities to non-residents. Tennis courts, a pitch and putt, and an 18-hole golf course with Atlantic views can be found at Mawgan Porth, along with a deli, a farm shop offering meat and eggs, and a bakery providing fresh bread and pasties.
