Offering quick and easy access to both landscapes, the little stream at the park's base is the perfect place to begin your ultimate walk through the coastal forest. The journey to Mawgan Porth and its stretch of golden sand through the River Menalhyl woodland is where the real fun begins.

It's also not far to Newquay, where you can mix with the other surfers on Fistral Beach, Towan Beach, and the Bedruthan Steps. Mawgan Porth is a secluded cove on the north Cornish coast between Newquay and Padstow, known for its golden sand beach, excellent surfing, and proximity to several caves and a coastal path. Take a relaxing stroll along the cliffs as the sun shines down, learn to surf, or keep an eye on the waves below. Mawgan Porth is filled with excellent dining options, including Paul Ainsworth's No. 6 and Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant, and the adults-only Scarlet Hotel, which offers Spa services to visitors but not guests. Tennis courts, a pitch and putt, and an 18-hole golf course overlook the Atlantic Ocean in Mawgan Porth, which also features a small selection of shops, including a village store and deli and a farm shop selling meat, eggs, vegetables, bread, and pasties made from local ingredients.
