The site’s amenities, including the pool and bar, are well received, though a few guests experienced problems with cleanliness and upkeep. Overall, the property provides a pleasant stay with excellent staff support and enjoyable leisure facilities.

Reviews are mixed, with several guests praising the cleanliness and tidiness, while others reported issues such as mould, damp smells, dirty kitchens, and stained furnishings. Some units appear well maintained, but there are recurring mentions of tired interiors and the need for deeper cleaning.

4 out of 5 only because the accommodation is a little small and dated. Other than that it was worth the 7 and a half hour drive to go on holiday to Piran Meadows Resort. We stayed in Wadebridge Premier 3 (dog friendly), number 147. Site map is confusing as Wadebridge is not on there but it is located in Godrevy. It’s smaller than other 3 beds we have stayed in. It had one shower and two toilets. The furnishings are dated, there were marks on the wooden tables and carpets were coming up a little. However, it was clean which is the main thing. The hot tub was huge! Sign beside it said it was for 5 adults but you could have fitted more people in than that. Again, it was a bit run down (2 jets had come off) but it still worked fine. The welcome pack had basics in like dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid as well as a dog toy and collapsible rubber water bowl for the dog.We visited peak season (August 2026) and the onsite shop and reception had short opening hours. The onsite bar/restaurant didn’t open until 12 noon. It served food up until about 8pm. Food from there was delicious and value for money but some drinks can be pricey and their prices weren’t advertised (£4 for bottle of Appletizer or £9 for a mini bottle of Prosecco). The pool tables, bowling and outdoor football pitches were all a great hit with my kids. The splash pad was busy with smaller kids during the day but quieter on the evening so my kids (aged 9 to 11) opted to go in on the evening. The outdoor terrace got the sun most of the day. The place is very dog friendly but there isn’t really anywhere to walk your dog other than around the site. The swimming pool was great. It’s a 1.2 metre depth all the way around but does have a small area sectioned off for little ones where the water was not deep at all (maybe knee height on an adult). Kids aged 8 and over could go in without an adult. Parents could see their kids from the viewing windows located at the back of the bar / restaurant if they didn’t want to go in the pool. The staff on duty in the pool were very friendly and polite. During the paid pool activities the staff were helpful and they entertained kids and families during the paid pool parties. Swimming sessions were on the hour, lasting 50mins and we booked via reception. The pool did have times it was not accessible due to adult only swims or paid for activities but despite this there was still plenty of opportunity each day you could book in for the free general swim session.Location wise it’s about a 15 mins drive to Newquay itself. There is a bus stop directly outside the site entrance (on the main road) and buses take about 25mins to get you into Newquay. There is an outdoor inflatable waterpark about 3 mins drive from the site (opposite direction from heading into Newquay). This was so much fun! The only problem is there appear to be no paths once you leave the site. The roads are busy country roads so for safety reasons you need to take a car or bus to get anywhere off site as walking is just not safe. The Eden Project is about a 30 mins drive away in the car and was the real reason we booked to come to Cornwall. Overall I would recommend Piran Meadows Resort as a good place to stay for families with children.

The sofa was extremely uncomfortable, beds very comfortable. Not as clean as previous years we have been. Seems as though there has been a change of management.

The hot tub at our caravan, which doubles the cost of the holiday, was worn and dated, and did not appear to be maintained throughout our visit as claimed. There were various other problems with the caravans which havent been updated since our first visit 7 years ago - curtains that did not cover the windows, boiler losing pressure daily, carpets that smelt like damp dog, to name a few.
