The house was spotlessly clean, and decorated throughout in fresh, cool, bright colours - mainly white with accents of blue - suitable for its maritime setting. The main bedroom is very spacious and the furniture is handsome and has a 'crafted' feel to it that matches the atmosphere of the house. The heating is extremely efficient and had been turned on so generously that we ended up turning it off in some rooms, even though it was March! The website specifies that this is not a suitable house for small children, because of the steps up and steps down into rooms - this is true, and a sensible warning. If one had mobility problems/poor balance this might also be something to take into consideration. We wondered if parking might be a problem in summer? There is indeed, as the website says, a free car park just round the corner from the cottage, but even in March it was sometimes difficult to find a free space.
