There is so much to do whilst you are here, the market town of Helston is just over 5 miles away, wander around the cobbled streets, visit the museum or spend the day at Flambards. A little further is the picturesque village of Porthleven, with its small harbour, beach, and coastal path around Loe Pool. The best beach for families would be Praa Sands, a large expanse of flat sand, plenty of parking, offering water sports, hire and lessons.
In the other direction is Falmouth, just over 8 miles away, a vibrant coastal gem on the Cornish coast. Here you will find several beaches, Gyllyngvase is the largest and most popular with families, having plenty of amenities. The town’s abundance of restaurants, cafés, and bars offer a culinary journey that spans the globe, catering to every palate and preference. From quaint seaside bistros to upscale dining establishments, Falmouth’s allure extends beyond its vibrant town centre and cultural attractions; it’s also a gateway to one of the most breathtaking coastal walks in the UK—the Southwest Coast Path.

Good location for getting to places around like Falmouth, but nothing in near vicinity. Nowhere to go for a walk etc without getting in a car.Was quite disappointed with just how ‘luxury’ this place was in reality. It’s more luxury caravan and past the ‘lux’ grey furnishings, towel swabs, huge TVs and carpets it’s not really very luxury at all and I think the info on as is misleading for this. Great amount of space though. No welcome basket as stated. Very little info for guests. No leaflets or info on local area. Smelt funny, horribly chemically, if you are asthmatic you’d struggle. House needed airing out everyday. Some of the sheets and towels had marks and stains on. Kitchen is fine but missing important items like a frying pan and a useable cheese grater. Also needs more mugs and not someone else’s opened coffee and tea bags. Back door is hard to lock and unlock, there were bugs everywhere dead and alive and for some reason bird poo??? Which they did apologise for but still cleanliness suffering. Needs something to make more of outside space at back especially as that’s where sun is mostly in afternoons/evening. Wouldn’t stay again, but it wasn’t a completely terrible stay just not worth our money really and felt misled on info.

The house was ideal for our group of 10 for a week. The house is spacious and well equipped. The main things we liked were the large lounge to spend time in and the nice dining room to eat in. The hot tub and decking area outside was also a very nice feature to enjoy. The gas BBQ was well used as was the large laundry room in an outbuilding. Finally the hosts were very responsive and proactive. They tended to the hot tub throughout the week and when we experienced a fault with a shower, they had it repaired within the hour!
