In front is a slate paved planted patio providing a sheltered haven with room for table and chairs for lazy breakfasts, al fresco dining and sunbathing. The cottage lies a few metres from the three mile stretch of sandy beach and is a gentle amble from the bustling village harbour with its shops, art and craft galleries, outstanding restaurants and pubs. Porthleven, near the ancient market town of Helston, is a fusion of working village and holiday resort. For those that enjoy an inspirational coastal walk, the south-west coastal footpath is on the doorstep, en-route to Lands End in the west and The Lizard in the south. Within easy driving distance, the historic port of Penzance and the sublime beaches at Porthcurno, Praa Sands and Marazion, all nestling in Mounts Bay, are easy must-do day-trips. Peg's makes the perfect bolt-hole for an all season break, a snug winter hide-away or romantic, relaxing escape.
