Set across a single storey and accommodating up to six guests, this stylish lodge is an ideal retreat for families or groups looking to explore Cornwall’s beautiful coastline, sandy beaches, scenic walking routes, and vibrant selection of galleries, shops, and restaurants. The property includes one private parking space, with additional parking available nearby in an overflow car park. Inside, the lodge features a bright and colourful open-plan living area. Floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides flood the space with natural light while showcasing the coastal views.

The fully equipped kitchen has everything needed for a self-catered stay, and the dining area provides a welcoming space to enjoy meals together. The comfortable lounge area includes a cosy wood-burning stove, making it the perfect place to unwind after a day at the beach or exploring the surrounding area. There are three bedrooms: a king-size room with a Smart TV and en-suite walk-in shower, and two twin rooms (one with a Smart TV), both served by a spacious family bathroom with a bath and overhead shower. Upon request, one twin room can be configured as a super-king bed. Outside, the large decking area is perfect for relaxing evenings, featuring outdoor seating, a private hot tub, and views stretching out towards the sea.

Located just over a mile from Portreath beach, with its cafés and access to the South West Coast Path, Barbara provides a fantastic base for discovering the very best of Cornwall.

With its sheltered harbour, beautiful Portreath was, in the 1800s, a hive of activity and industry as a major tin-exporting port. Today, the village attracts visitors from around the world with its wild and rugged coastline. High cliffs, secluded coves and sandy, surf-washed beaches typify the area while all around are reminders of the area's rich industrial heritage. Portreath offers a small fishing harbour, shops, a number of pubs, three cafés and a Chinese restaurant, while its safe, sheltered sandy beach is a popular attraction. For a great day out, visit the cathedral city of Truro with its cobbled streets, shopping centre, theatre, museum and great restaurants, just 14 miles away, or travel a few miles along the coast and follow the vast expanse of sandy beach, which leads down to Hayle and on to St Ives. A delightful holiday location.
