Redruth itself is steeped in history. Once the beating heart of Cornwall’s tin and copper mining industry during the 19th century, the town is surrounded by landscapes shaped by its industrial past. Today, Redruth has become an ideal base for exploring Cornwall’s countryside and dramatic coastline. It is especially popular with walkers and cyclists, offering a variety of scenic routes ranging from gentle woodland trails to rugged coastal paths with stunning views.

Nearby, Tehidy Country Park provides a peaceful contrast, with open parkland and tranquil woodland.
