Excellent waves make this a mecca for surfers, and there are several surf schools based here for hiring equipment and booking lessons. The village is also home to a small selection of pubs, beach cafes and takeaways, while chic St Agnes (3 miles) has a wider choice of places to eat. For fabulous views, walk the coast path to Chapel Porth Beach (2 miles), or explore the beaches at Perranporth and Portreath, both within 7 miles. For a day of shopping, Truro is just 9.5 miles away.
