The cottage is very quaint, located just a stone's throw from Charlestown harbour with all its restaurants and gift shops. The weather was not kind but we did have one sunny day to walk the coastal path to Pentewan beach - stunning scenery along the way and a nice cafe for lunch. The rainy days we spent at Lanhydrock NT house and the museum in Charlestown, both very interesting. The only thing to improve Cobb Cottage would be a hairdryer, we enjoyed our stay and the welcome pack was much appreciated

It is well located close to the harbour and in a good position to visit other local attractions including a lovely sandy beach and the Eden Project. The main bedroom is excellent with its own toilet facilities and a sea view. The other bedrooms are really singles although there is a small double bed in one of them. I would be happy to stay here again.

The property location was good, but the property was probably the worst that we have rented through Sykes. The major problem was the settees in the lounge. Both were in our opinion well past their sell by date. The springs in both had gone, which meant when you sat on the settees you sank far too low, meaning that they were uncomfortable to sit on and difficult to get up from. For the final couple of nights we abandoned the lounge and settled for sitting in the dining room. Not what we would have expected from a Sykes Cottage.
