About this property

Charlestown 7 miles. Resting on the outskirts of St Austell, Cornwall is this delightful property. Part of an historical building that is brimming with character. As well as being close to an array of Cornwall's finest sights, Wheal Prosper is a wonderful base for a family of six. Just 7 miles from Charlestown with it's historical harbour and pebble beach. Due to the location it is a perfect spot for exploring the whole of Cornwall. When you arrive at the property, you will be welcomed by convenient, off-road parking along with the exterior of what once was a working clay dry. Enter the wonderful home-from-home to find a well-equipped kitchen/diner, where the budding chef of the group will feel at home, thanks to the range of appliances at hand. Once a mouthwatering meal has been rustled up, it can be enjoyed at the kitchen's dining table; why not open a bottle of wine to accompany your meal, after all, you're on holiday! After tucking into a lovely dinner, settle down on the spacious sofa downstairs in the lounge and watch your favourite show on the Smart TV, or help yourself to a generously provided book or board game; be sure to switch on the log effect electric fire for some extra warmth! When sleep calls, make your way to the ground floor to find three tastefully furnished bedrooms, with one being a super-king-size, and the latter being twin rooms. The family bathroom is close by and offers a bath with shower over, making for a tranquil space where you can enjoy a moment of peace and quiet after an eventful outing. Outside, the property enjoys access to a private patio, where you can enjoy an alfresco meal in the secluded spot. For a break to remember, look no further than Wheal Prosper. Note: This property can be booked with Refs. 1093095, 1093103, 1093110, 1093106 and 1093108, together sleeping up to 38 guests.

The small, but active village of Roche is a great place to visit for a day trip. Roche is located near the coast in Cornwall, England. There are many attractions to enjoy in Roche; one of the most notable is Wheal Martyn Clay Works, which has been open since 1879. Another popular attraction in Roche is Roche Rock, the mysterious ruins of a chapel. Roche also has a few cafes for visitors to enjoy a coffee break in, such as TJ's Café.

The accommodation was comfortable and clean, it looks like the photos. We had everything we needed. It was close enough to most of Cornwall that everything was within a reasonable driving distance. We had our dogs with us and they we considered in the equipment available, water bowl and blankets. There is a good dog walk in Roche at the cricket ground if taking dogs and they need a run off lead. Thank you, we'll be back for another visit!

Overall though, we enjoyed our stay, and felt that the property was well equipped, (maybe some wooden spoons and a larger saucepan would be a great addition) the beds were comfortable, and property was spacious. Thank you for coffee, tea, milk and biscuits, we were very pleased to be able to have a cup of tea on arrival before unpacking. Definitely recommend!
