As family accommodation goes, this is one of the best. Lodge 40 is set amongst 40-acres of tranquil and unspoilt countryside on the Retallack estate with plenty of on-site facilities and space for your dogs, and kids, to let off steam. Each lodge has a unique design and features and we think this one is perfect for a family escape.

Lodge 40 has two living areas with the first floor area having access to a balcony and also a play area for the younger ones. There are three bedrooms and a fourth dedicated to the youngest in the family with two wooden cots.

Don’t worry mum and dad, we haven’t forgotten you! Out on the decking, sink into the bubbles of the hot tub with a glass of something fizzy while the kids have fun in the play house.

There is a lot on site, you can try the pool, golf putting greens, tennis, playground or, for an additional charge, have fun at the AquaPark. You may be 5 miles from the Cornish coast but there’s a hidden gem on your doorstep... Retallack has its own sandy beach next to the lake complete with changing area, fish bar and beach shop! This place has it all! So, whether you’re 8 or 80, a family holiday spent at Lodge 40 is sure to be great fun whatever your age.
