Guests say

Guests consistently praise Tresungers Cottage for its charm, spaciousness, and serene location. The hosts, Penny and her family, receive commendations for their warmth and helpfulness. The property's historic character and beautiful surroundings contribute to a relaxing stay, with many guests eager to return. The presence of farm animals and the rural setting are particularly appreciated by families and dog owners.

Reviews frequently mention the cottage being clean and well-maintained, suggesting high standards of cleanliness. Only one isolated comment about dog waste in the parking area slightly detracts from an otherwise impeccable record.

The location is highly praised for its beauty and proximity to local attractions, including Port Isaac and beaches. The rural setting offers tranquility and scenic walks, although one review mentioned potholes on the access road.

The cottage is described as comfortable and cosy, with ample space for families and pets. The presence of an Aga and the spacious garden add to the comfort of the stay.

While guests are pleased with the overall experience, there is insufficient detail in the reviews to accurately assess the facilities and maintenance. Therefore, this score is set to null.

Several reviews mention thoughtful touches like flowers and a cream tea on arrival, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. However, as these gifts are not guaranteed for every stay, they are considered a delightful bonus rather than an expectation.

About this property

This ancient farmhouse dating back to 13th century is located on a working farm in a peaceful spot ½ mile from the hamlet of St Endellion and 1½ miles by footpath from Port Isaac. Ideal for families, this fascinating property enjoys lovely, long rural views and makes a great base for exploring this delightful part of north Cornwall. On the ground floor a well-equipped kitchen with oil-fired Rayburn for extra cosiness and dining area, plus a sitting room with a wood burning stove and lovely views over the garden and fields beyond. Upstairs three bedrooms, some with those lovely rural views: two double bedrooms and another double with a single bed, and a family shower room.

Off the first floor landing is a WC with a hand basin.. Outside a spacious, shared lawn garden for relaxation with garden furniture, a trampoline and swing for boisterous youngsters. The hamlet of St Endellion, famous for two annual music festivals, is just a short stroll away, whilst the beautiful Cornish harbour of Port Isaac (of Fisherman’s Friends fame) is slightly further afield but still easily accessible by footpath. Access over 500 yards of rough hardcore lane

Port Isaac, one of the undiscovered treasures of Cornwall. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century
