About this property

Centrally located in Port Isaac, a beautiful fishing village in Cornwall, lies this delightful three-bedroom property, Blue Lobster Cottage. Enjoying sea views, you will be just a stone's throw away from the harbour beach in Port Isaac, bay of Port Gaverne and an array of local amenities. The cottage features a contemporary nautical design, state-of-the-art appliances, a private patio and is fitting for a seascape, welcoming up to six guests. Benefit from the well-equipped kitchen, presenting everything that you'll need for a self-catering stay, along with a six-seater dining table, perfect to gather around after a day of adventure. Travel to the rear patio if you'd prefer an alfresco affair, home to outdoor furniture and a fire pit, ideal for soaking up the Cornish sunshine over a bottle of wine; you'll also find access to the external utility from here. Relax in the bright sitting room, hosting sea glimpses, before retiring to three spacious bedrooms, all offering an abundance of storage and finished to a high spec; a shower room completes the cottage, both convenient and chic. Paces away you'll reach Port Isaac and its offering of shoreline restaurants and shops, including Fresh from The Sea, The Old School Restaurant, and a local Co-op. You'll also arrive at Portwenn View, an elevated observation deck, set above the Cornish coast, Giant Slip and Slide Cornwall, perfect for the thrill-seekers of your group, and Doyden Castle, displaying cliffside views. Travelling towards Polzeath, enjoy strolls across the resident beach, trek across Trebetherick Point, whilst stopping off at The Rumps, for far-reaching vistas across the county. Padstow is accessible by car, perfect for visiting St Saviours Point, touring Padstow Museum, covering cultural, social and maritime events, and the National Lobster Hatchery, where you can adopt and track a lobster, or perhaps bring along your cycle, and follow the dedicated route across the Camel Trail. Enjoy your getaway in Cornwall by staying at Blue Lobster Cottage.

One of the real Cornish jewels is Port Isaac. The old village, a charming fishing community nestled in a valley with steep sides, has not altered since the previous century, when it was a centre for smuggling, slate export, and fishing. You can find a lot of little character homes mixed in with bigger cliff-top retreats, all with convenient access to the village's many eateries and shops. As the water recedes, the sandy harbour offers an abundance of rock pools. It is ideal for both romantic getaways and family vacations because it is only ten minutes by car from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer, and Rock. At the peak of the village, there is plenty of parking.

Carpet outside bathroom door needs fixing as it has come away from gripper rod which was painful to step on. Garden needs a tidy up loads of fag ends outside the back door to the right hand side and a drinks bottle to the left, it could do with a general tidy up. Kitchen floor has a few issues with edging strip coming up in a few places.

Parking space in front for one car. We able to get V60 volvo estate into space. Nice little garden with dining space and fire pit was raining during our trip so did not use it. Dog friendly well placed to access coastal path. Missing toilet seat cover and sink mirror/ shaver socket hummed couldn't work out how to turn it off. Minor issues though a lovely stay

I suspect John Bray was once a good local business before it was bought.
