There are tons of public footpaths from here along the river or through the countryside. If you prefer days by the beach, visit the fabulous sandy shores of Hayle (3 miles), or head to the bustling town of Penzance (7 miles) and the beaches that run around the bay. Visit the tidal island of St Michael’s Mount (4 miles), home to a historic castle and gardens you can peruse.
