Guests say

Neptune is a well-loved cottage in Treyarnon Bay, praised for its superb location near the beach and its clean, comfortable accommodation. Guests appreciate the property's homely feel and the convenience of nearby amenities. While some maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is highly recommended, with many guests eager to return.

The property generally receives positive remarks for cleanliness, with guests finding it clean and well-presented upon arrival. However, a few guests noted issues with sand and dog hairs, and some areas needing a deeper clean, slightly affecting the score.

The location is consistently lauded as exceptional, being moments away from the beach and offering stunning views. It's a highlight for many guests, contributing to the desire to revisit.

Comfort receives mixed reviews, with several guests finding the beds comfortable and the property warm and welcoming. However, there are multiple comments about hard mattresses and the desire for softer options, which impacts the score.

Facilities are well-regarded, with the property offering a range of amenities. Nonetheless, guests have reported maintenance issues such as broken appliances and furniture, which suggests room for improvement.

Guests have mentioned thoughtful touches like fresh milk and Cornish biscuits upon arrival, which add to the welcoming atmosphere. While these gestures are appreciated, it's important to note that such gifts are offered at the owner's discretion and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

Leaking gas on one of the rings on the hob. 4 separate visits by various repairers but nothing fixed. Of course things go wrong but £50 compensation is risable, the hob could have exploded. It was our second stay here, but won't return now. Seems like poor economics to me.

Christmas tree was up and ready for us felt very welcoming. We found that the element on the oven wasn’t working this was replaced by a whole new oven on Christmas Eve

But several niggling issues need to be addressed :- Kitchen tap drips constantly( wasting precious water), Kitchen blind has lost its pulley for adjusting the shutters, Patio door blinds very hard to pull to one side as cord is dangling plus it would be a much better idea to have the blinds sliding to the left instead of the right which partially covers the door that opens, Front door light (right-hand side) needs new bulb, But the Major Issue is the washer/ dryer which sounds like it is about to launch into outer space, so loud I thought it would explode definitely needs immediate attention. Will not stope from booking again and in fact I am there next June so hopefully these problems will have been resolved.
