As you move through the hallway of this lovely abode you will find the warm and welcoming sitting room; look forward to snuggling up in front of the crackling woodburning stove with your loved ones for an evening. When stomachs start to rumble, enjoy the open-plan kitchen/diner resting at the garden end of the property, beautifully-adorned with wooden apex ceilings effortlessly blended together with a contemporary décor, complete with underfloor heating to warm your toes. Uncork a bottle of wine and take a seat on the relaxing sofas or at the dining table as the designated chef utilises the fabulous range of conveniences provided to rustle up an array of hearty treats. In the warmer months, make mealtimes an alfresco affair by firing up the pizza oven or barbeque in the garden; a truly lovely spot to soak in the last of the evening sun with your favourite tipple. Alternatively, enjoy the stunning views from the cabin deck, across the fields to the Prince of Wales Tine Mine; a real place of Cornish heritage! When the darker skies roll in, retreat indoors and climb the stairs to the first floor to catch your rest in one of three well-presented bedrooms, comprising of two doubles, one with access to its own en-suite including a bath, along with a family room fit with a bunk and a single, perfect for sleepovers for the little ones! At the same time, relatives, friends or loved ones can also retreat to Little Jonwyns, the wonderfully-equipped cabin resting a few steps away to the side of the main garden. Preparing for another day of adventure in the morning couldn't be easier, with a shower room set across the way from the bedrooms and a handy wet room positioned on the ground floor, also perfect for washing off sandy toes or muddy paws. For those evenings when you fancy a break from the kitchen, head to the local pub, The Port William Inn, and indulge in some hearty pub fare in a truly magnificent setting where children and dogs are made very welcome. For a wider variety of choice, the high-street in the nearby village of Tintagel is bustling with an array of delicious eateries to choose from, promising to serve something to cater for all tastes and budgets. The glorious sands of Trebarwith Beach rest nearby and offer a tranquil spot to paddle the shores of the glistening waters, try your hand at surfing or watch the sun as it sets across the horizon beyond the impressive Gull Rock. For more seaside adventures, head south along the coast to Port Isaac, Polzeath and Rock, each brimming with sights, attractions and amenities. From Rock you can easily catch the ferry for a short ride to the very pretty Padstow. Those looking to explore the great outdoors will be spoilt for choice with both the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Dartmoor National Park within easy reach; lace up your walking boots and traverse through miles of spectacular rural landscape. With so much to see and do, round up your loved ones and embark on a well-needed adventure to Jonwyns.

The location is excellent and the house is comfortable and well equipped. The listing did mention a firepit though, which we couldn't find (?) Otherwise a really relaxing holiday (and lovely September weather) from a perfect base to explore the North coast of Cornwall.

We thought there were some really great touches - well equipped kitchen (lots of plates, bowls, glasses, serving dishes etc….) comfy sofas and living space, light and airy in the kitchen-living room area. Second sitting room cosy and would be perfect in winter. Loved the view to the mine. Garden nice - just wished we could have used it (we had wet weather all week). We did manage to get one BBQ in. Nicely decorated. Wi-Fi was very good! Good instructions to find it in welcome email. This property is like a home rather than just a place to stay. A couple of very small details: 1) Black out blind in bunk bed room 2) Window cleaner? 3) A washing machine combined with a drier. We had a wet week and the option to tumble dry a few things would have been good. 4) I meant to leave a note but the sink and shower in the main bathroom did not drain very well. Probably just needs some unblocking liquid. 5) King sized bed or even just replace the mattresses? 6) The cottage had a real fusty smell on arrival. This subsided after a day or two after opening all windows but maybe on exchange day it would be good to open all the windows. These points did not really affect our stay and we would absolutely stay again but just thought we’d say as sometimes the finer details can make a difference.

Well equipped kitchen and lovely comfy living rooms. Really was such a lovely place and the owners bent over backwards to help us with our residency so we can get married in the parish of Tintagel. Cannot fault this cottage or the owners at all. There was bread and milk and some fudge and biscuits when we got there and a really lovely atmosphere. Cannot recommended this place enough!
