Tintagel 1.6 miles. The Mill is a beautifully presented, well-equipped barn conversion nestled in the historical hamlet of Trethevy, close to the well-known St Piran's Well and Chapel. This quiet location offers private off-road parking, ideal for a couple's getaway. The enchanting St Nectan's Glen with its wooded river valley, gorge and 60-foot waterfall is easily accessible from the door. Why not sample the locally sourced, freshly cooked menu whilst gazing out into the treetops at the Tree Of Life Cafe? Trethevy is situated between beautiful Boscastle with its picturesque harbour and quaint cottages, and Tintagel which is steeped in history and legend.

The local bus stops a stone's throw from the door of The Mill. Settle down into the homely open-plan living area with a good book or a comforting cuppa. Cook a romantic meal for two in the well-fitted kitchen and enjoy your masterpiece with your significant other at the dining table or outside on the patio, watching the sun go down. When sleep calls, freshen up in the contemporary en-suite before snuggling up in the spacious double bedroom. With walks from the door and easy access to the South West Coast Path with its breathtaking scenery, local countryside and coves, why not visit Bossiney Cove or enjoy a walk through Rocky Valley towards Trethevy Cliffs and Ladies Window? The neighbouring town of Tintagel is a fantastic location to visit with so much on offer including tasty eateries, pubs, convenience stores, The National Trust Old Post Office and Glebe Cliff.

This area is notably famous for Tintagel Castle with its association with King Arthur and its dramatic suspension bridge along with Merlin's Cave. The well-known and beautiful Boscastle is also close by and is a must-see with its photogenic harbour and wooded Valency Valley. Here you can enjoy browsing the independent stores and galleries at your leisure. History lovers can visit Boscastle's Museum of Witchcraft and Magic or why not indulge in cake and tea at one of the cafes, or a hearty meal at one of the local pubs or eateries. Trebarwith Strand Beach, situated at the end of a beautiful wooded valley, extends to almost a mile of golden sand at low tide and is the site of several film locations. Grab your surfboard and catch some waves at Widemouth Bay, Crackington Haven, Trebarwith Strand or Polzeath. Further from the property you can explore or hike over to Bodmin Moor, Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where you can gain panoramic views of the area from the summit of Rough Tor.

Port Isaac, made famous by the TV series Doc Martin, is within easy driving distance, as is Padstow with its connections to Rick Stein and its beautiful estuary.     The owner gave us some recommendations of things to do in the area which were lovely. The property is clean and has everything you need for a stay. Anyone wanting a walking holiday in this area would find this a perfect location th start.

    Good location. Only criticism was the bed which was far too low. When standing next to the bed the top of the inset mattress was only 12 inches from the floor.
