This area is notably famous for Tintagel Castle with its association with King Arthur and its dramatic suspension bridge along with Merlin's Cave. The well-known and beautiful Boscastle is also close by and is a must-see with its photogenic harbour and wooded Valency Valley. Here you can enjoy browsing the independent stores and galleries at your leisure. History lovers can visit Boscastle's Museum of Witchcraft and Magic or why not indulge in cake and tea at one of the cafes, or a hearty meal at one of the local pubs or eateries. Trebarwith Strand Beach, situated at the end of a beautiful wooded valley, extends to almost a mile of golden sand at low tide and is the site of several film locations. The Port William Inn boasts spectacular views of the sea which you can enjoy with a pint or a meal, even in wet weather. Grab your surfboard and catch some waves at Widemouth Bay, Crackington Haven, Trebarwith Strand or Polzeath. Further from the property you can explore or hike over to Bodmin Moor, Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where you can gain panoramic views of the area from the summit of Rough Tor.

Port Isaac, made famous by the TV series Doc Martin, is within easy driving distance, as is Padstow with its connections to Rick Stein and its beautiful estuary.
