Within easy reach you can find St Germans, which has easy access to Plymouth via its railway line, and other naturally beautiful beaches such as Whitsands Bay, boasting a 2-mile long, hidden gem beach with a café. Further afield, find the world renowned Eden Project. For golfers, Portwrinkle, St Mellion International Golf Resort, and Looe Bindown are fantastic choices within driving distance. Downderry is a little beach town in southeast Cornwall. Downderry offers a sheltered beach, Post Office and shop, deli, clifftop pub, and outstanding local food restaurant. At low tide, you may walk from Downderry to Seaton, where there is a family-friendly south-facing beach and the Seaton Valley Countryside Park and Nature Reserve, which has otters and kingfishers and offers cycling and walking. The attractive working harbours of Looe and Polperro are a short drive away, and the South West Coast Path in this section of Cornwall leads to rocky bays, dramatic headlands, and shipwrecks and smugglers.
