Nestled close to the all year dog friendly beach which enjoys stunning sea views to Looe island and Rame Head, this wonderful holiday home is in the most fabulous location for fun-filled family holidays. The property allows some flexibility of twin or double beds on request. All on a ground floor, with wheel chair access so ideal for those with mobility issues. The open plan living space features good-sized kitchen and living areas with the addition of a sofa bed the property accommodates up to eight guests. There is room to store bikes or beach equipment, and an outside hose for dog washing.
There is a safe life-guarded sandy beach and children’s play area and rock pooling further down the beach. The surfers come out when the water is right and there are body boards in the house. The lovely linked villages of Seaton and Downderry feature restaurants, pubs, beach cafe, coffee shop and a small shop all within 1.5 miles. Tredinnick farm shop and restaurant are a short drive away, with the area offering a range of supermarkets which also deliver. Ramblers will enjoy the scenic coastal footpath leading to the charming fishing ports and villages with quays, Looe is within easy reach as is Porwrinkle. For a gentle walk take the bus to Hessenford and stroll along the river through the beautiful valley and woodland heading back towards Seaton. By car you can easily access the Eden project and many coastal villages like Kingsand and Cawsand, where you can take a ferry to Plymouth for the day. Scenic Polperro is an enchanting village with quaint, traffic-free lanes and a fishing harbour surrounded with traditional inns and fisherman’s cottages. As one of the most easily accessed parts of Cornwall, you can usually expect to be on the beach just an hour after the Exeter M5 junction 31. I'm really sorry, I don't like giving a bad review and I don't want this public viewing. When we arrived the gate was very hard to move, in fact during the week both my husband and sister hurt themselves trying to close it. The owner commented on it himself when we had a visit from him on the Sunday, the TV wouldn't work, he did get this sorted,but we had to travel back from a day out to put the key in the keysafe, The bathroom door is on metal runners and it fell on me as I was trying to close it, it's a very heavy door with a full length mirror attached. I was in pain for the last two days off the holiday and couldn't go out. The photos off the cottage give the impression that it's good for disabled people, well my mother in law had to sit in her wheelchair the whole week as she couldn't get down to the settee. The photos give the wrong impression totally, the only thing going for it is it's close enough to walk to the beach. This is a cottage that would suit a group of lads, unless Mr Edwards spends money on the inside of the property then I can't see him getting good reviews.

By the Beach is in a lovely position being a short walk from Seaton beach. There is a beach cafe/restaurant within walking distance and also a pub and both are very good. There is also another good pub a short drive away.By the Beach itself is a lovely warm bungalow. I would say it is comfortable for 4 adults. I think you would be a little 'squashed' on the living room sofa if there were 6/8 adults in your group. It would be an amazing little place if it was given a little more general tlc i.e curtains need more hooks as hanging loose and hard to close, cushions on sofa are threadbare in places, verandah paintwork needs a clean and spruce up and windows are in desperate need of a clean.
