With far-reaching views out to sea and over lush green fields that you can’t fail to admire, this detached holiday property sits in an enviable position just yards from the dunes and beach at Par. The thoughtful owners are happy to supply beach towels, beach mats, 2 wind breaks, a cool box and plenty of buckets and spades for your family adventures to the beach. Or, if you prefer to keep yourselves sand free why not relax on one of the sun loungers in the enclosed garden? A quiet path takes you to the beach, local pub and restaurant which can all be reached within minutes. The Cornish coastal path passes close by, and stunning walks can be enjoyed from the door. The town of Fowey, with its annual royal regatta and literary festival, is nearby and makes for an excellent day out, with deep sea fishing trips, kayaking along the tranquil river, and plenty of galleries, shops and cafés all lining the narrow historic streets that lead to the harbour. The village of Polmear, with its local pub, is within easy walking distance for an evening sundowner or great pub meal. The beach at Polkerris is just minutes away and is the archetypal Cornish beach with soft, white sand with adjacent beach bistro, café, ice cream van and local pub, and makes an excellent place to spend the day whatever your age, whether rock pooling, kayaking or just soaking up the view and relaxing on the beach. The area has many natural and manmade attractions and some that combine the best of both, such as the Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and many other local gardens. There are many opportunities to enjoy the area without the car as a local branch line station is nearby, thereby enabling you to use the train to explore other parts of the county. There are also cycle paths and cycle hire companies nearby. All in all, Sand Dunes provides comfy and stylish accommodation whilst being the perfect place from which to explore the local coastline and countryside of Cornwall. Horse riding, golf, surfing and coastal walks can all be found nearby. Beach 500 yards. Shop ¼ mile, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

We had a very comfortable stay at Sand Dunes. It is spotlessly clean, bright, and smartly and neutrally decorated. It has very good facilities. We really appreciated the welcome goodies and the owners are friendly and are keen to provide a great experience. Sand Dunes is very well located, being a short walk to Par Beach and the SWCP. The views from the back of the house are fantastic. It's a great base from which to visit a variety of places of interest.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Sand Dunes. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how spotless, cosy, and beautifully maintained the cottage was. The location is perfect – peaceful, yet just a short walk from the stunning beach and local amenities.One of the real highlights was the warm welcome from the hosts, who had gone the extra mile to make us feel at home. We were greeted with fresh, homemade scones on arrival with jam and cream provided – a thoughtful and delicious touch that really set the tone for the whole stay.The cottage itself is tastefully decorated, well-equipped with everything you could need, and has a real home-from-home feel. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the living space was perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the area.We can’t recommend Sand Dunes highly enough – it’s the perfect place to unwind, enjoy the coast, and feel truly looked after. We’ll definitely be coming back!
