Formerly a listed manor house, courthouse and mill, the building is united together by the characterful garden at the heart of the property, which is rigged with garden rooms, an oval sun lawn, an outdoor kitchen and a wood-fired hot tub. Entertaining twenty six guests spread across twelve en-suite kingsize rooms, fortified by five reception spaces, it hass plenty of room to relax in, recover, dance and dine.

As you approach the entrance hall, there are two living spaces to welcome you, both with open fires and logs to get you started. A delightful playroom offers children some interactive space of their own with a door out to the garden. The kitchen is state-of-the-art, with four ovens, a pizza oven, Braai and much more, so there is ample opportunity to explore your culinary skills, taking advantage of ARC’s lobby to fuel your stay and kindle your time spent together. The dining room is a stunningly designed space connecting outside and in, with an entire glass wall which slides open to the patio and hot tub, a bar area and wine storage, and a catwalk entrance for the ultimate arrival. The table in the dining room seats 18 as standard but can seat up to 20. Across the first, second and third floors are eleven out of the twelve bedrooms and bathrooms; all wonderfully calm spaces with gentle décor and a relaxing ambience. Four of the rooms have kingsize beds, and the other eight have super kingsize beds. All bedrooms are either en-suite or have close access to their own private bathrooms, finished with Italian carved marble basins, deep soak tubs, and walk-in showers.

From its scenery and sand to its seafood and Sauvignon, Padstow epitomises a serene sanctuary abundant with the simple pleasures we’ve fallen accustomed to living without in the bustle, hustle and tussle of modern life. Tucked west of the River Camel, the balmy fishing port and harbour town has become ubiquitous for its delicate dining scene and remarkable trails, dutifully set within a stone’s throw of the Seven Bays, and the accompanying dramatic coastline and awe-inspiring pastoral landscape of North Cornwall.
