About this property

Chy Pol is a charming, two-bedroom bungalow resting on the outskirts of St Minver, a quaint village just a short drive from the coast in Cornwall. Boasting off-road parking for two cars, an enclosed courtyard, and a collection of well-presented, contemporary interiors, this delightful abode welcomes a family or group of four friends seeking a refreshing, self-catered Cornish escape. Park up out front of Chy Pol, taking a brief moment to soak in your new surroundings before heading inside. Upon entering, feel instantly at home as you're greeted by a tastefully-appointed, open-plan living space housing a fully-equipped kitchen, a dining table with ample seating, and an inviting sitting area with sofa, chair, a crackling woodburning stove, and a sleek, wall-mounted Smart TV. On warmer days, make the most of the enclosed courtyard, pulling up a chair to delight in some alfresco dining with the help of the barbecue. When the sun has set, head back indoors to refresh with a refreshing cleanse under the shower before you finally hunker down for a well-earned rest in either a plush king-size or bunk bedroom. If you can tear yourself from your lovely new base, jump in the car and explore what's on offer in your local region. In the local village of Rock, fill your fridge up from the goodies at the Nursery Stores (Spar) or if preferring not to cook, dine out at The Pityme Pub or The Mariners. For a full day out, make a beeline for Polzeath, a bustling coastal town popular with tourists, where you and your loved ones can spend a day sunbathing on Polzeath Beach, surfing or savouring the local cuisine with a meal at the Cracking Crab or Surfside. Just north on the coastal path, take in unrivalled sea views from Pentire Point, a stunning nature reserve home to rugged cliff sides and scenic hiking paths. Enjoy all of this and more when you choose a stay at Chy Pol.

Perched along the scenic Cornish Coast is the delightful and quaint civil parish of St Minver. Offering its visitors a beautiful church which boasts superb views of the surrounding countryside, a welcoming pub where you can treat yourself to a delicious pub lunch and a well-deserved pint, a Post Office and a well-stocked convenience store for purchasing any essentials. St Minver is the perfect tourist base for exploring Cornwall, with easy access to the stunning beaches of Rock and the surfer's paradise of Polzaeath. Venture over to the coastal village of Rock, where you can take to the waters by waterski or sailing, or enjoy a boat tour as you spot the local marine life of dolphins which frequent the shores. Polzeath is the ideal setting for trying your hand at surfing with its nearby Surf School, or if you'd prefer to sit the action out, the glorious sands are perfect for soaking up the sun with a good book.

The curtains in main bedroom were threadbare and you can see straight through them. The kitchen utensils were awful, flimsy old and not one sharp knife. There are no hooks on doors or anywhere to be able to hang clothes on, no where easy with a mirror to dry hair or put make up on. The cleaners mid way were superb and did a fantastic job of cleaning. So thanks to them. Very tired property indeed needs overhauling decorating etc. it doesn’t live up to the photographs and is extremely dark in front room. The car park kept flooding from the back/front gate and it made it hard to get in and out of the car. We tried all the phone numbers on the day we arrived (Saturday) as no clear instructions for the heating and immersion were left and those that were there were from a past letting company with 3 different WiFi codes, plus to mention the shower draining. We were unable to get a response from any of the numbers and you ring one number only to be told to ring another so we went without and muddled along. We have stayed in all the houses in upper and lower Treglyn but this was the most uncomfortable of them all. Which is such a shame as such a great place to be.
