Many National Trust properties are also close by. Situated a few miles inland from the Jurassic Coast, guests can visit towns such as Beer, Branscombe, Sidmouth and Seaton with its famous tramway. Beach 6 miles. Shop 500 yards, pub and restaurant 800 yards.

Owner and housekeeping very helpful, nothing too much if you need anything, have stayed here a few times, this has been my longest stay so far and will be back again next year

We enjoyed a very comfortable stay in Porters Lodge. We were met by Fiona who owns the premises and the hotel it is attached to. Everything you could need for our stay was in the property. Excellent WiFi. Fully equipped kitchen. Nice shower and good size towels. It is a short walk into the town of Axminster which is a market town with lots of independent shops.
