Located on a sheep farm with views across the Axe Valley, it enjoys 150 acres of green fields and woodland. The heating comes from a wood biomass boiler, and the electricity is aided via a 50kw solar panel array. You can watch the farm animals. There are picnic sites and a children’s play area. Seaton, 2 miles, with mile long beach. Take a trip on Seaton’s tramway along the Axe Estuary to the medieval market town of Colyton. Next to the tramway is the Seaton Marshes Nature Reserve. The viewing hide and wheelchair-friendly paths means this beautiful area and its wildlife (wildfowl and wading birds in winter; dragonflies and butterflies in summer) are easily accessible. Golf, fishing and cliff walks within easy reach. The seaside resort of Lyme Regis with its Cobb, offers sailing and water-skiing. Visit the Donkey Sanctuary, Broadwindsor Craft Centre, Crealy Adventure Park or Bicton Park Gardens. Shop 1.5 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
