Pebbles lies just 100 yards from the Exe estuary, where there is a sandy play area, perfect for the children. This terraced, 18th-century, former fisherman’s cottage is situated in the heart of the quaint fishing village of Lympstone. The property has some quirky features, including an original fireplace, and the single bedroom, with its sloping ceilings, has a small play/den area. The cottage has been decorated to offer a wonderful base for a family holiday or for friends to get together.
On the Exe estuary, midway between the old port of Topsham and the seaside resort of Exmouth, here, the beautiful sandy beaches and rock pools are at the start of the Jurassic Coast and form part of the South West Coastal Path. The estuary has a picturesque harbour, is a renowned nature reserve, and a haven for wildlife and migrating birds. The village has a number of pubs that serve lunchtime and evening meals, and a shop, all within easy walking distance. Crealy Adventure Park is just 3 miles away and for cyclists there are many cycle ways. There is a cycle way which runs from Exmouth, through Lympstone and onto Topsham and the Exeter canal, running most of the way alongside the river. There are many National Trust properties, all waiting to be explored. The city of Exeter is within easy reach, Woodbury common is on the doorstep and Dartmoor is an easy drive. Beach 3 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 50 yards.

Pebbles is a lovely cottage and just what we needed for a few nights break. Beds very comfortable and everything we expected to be provided was there - except tea-towels (fortunately I did take my own). We'd like to note that the water pressure to the upstairs washbasin was very poor, but the downstairs bathroom was fine. There's a bit of a gap around the back door, so there could be a draught in the real winter! Small issues and not enough to stop us booking again!

This is a lovely cottage of its age, which needs love and care. Revitalising this cottage would not cost a fortune, but would pay dividends in the long term., The period features are good, but I felt like Alice falling down a rabbit hole. The little garden is across the drive, not a place to have your coffee and toast. I'm glad my car is small so that it fitted the parking space, which I was glad of.I had wanted this cottage to be a happy retreat, sadly it did not fit the bill for me.Please leave instructions for opening windows, health and safety requirement surely.

A pleasant 3 bedroom cottage ,with off road parking.. Obviously as a rented out cottage ,there were signs of ' wear ' and I don't personally was unable to work the bathroom radiator.But none of these things affected our holiday .
