In an excellent seafront location, 100 yards from Exmouth sandy beach with sea views, this ground floor apartment is well equipped for 4. A perfect base close to the marina and to enjoy the seaside resort of Exmouth, or the East Devon Heritage Coast. There is walking, golf, fishing and water activities on offer in the area. Places to visit include A la Ronde (NT), Budleigh Salterton, Crealy Adventure Park and Exeter, The Jurassic Coast, South West Coastal Path, Sidmouth, Branscombe, Beer and Lyme Regis. Or why not take the ferry over the River Exe and enjoy the Dawlish Warren Nature Reserve or one of the riverside bars. There is also a popular seafood restaurant nearby. Shop and pub with food 50 yards, beach 100 yards.

The flat is in a good location for Rockfish, pub, boat trips and about 10 mins walk to the station, buses, town centre and M&S Food. It is dated but we knew that. The living room is light and OK. The shower goes cold- the thermostat seems to be faulty. There is a musty unpleasant odour in the main bedroom. My husband has Parkinsons and our main problem was the misleading description of the bedrooms which should be changed. There are 3 steps down to both bedrooms and 2 further steps in the twin bedded room not the main bedroom. The bathroom is thus 5 steps distant from one bedroom and 3 from the main bedroom- lethal at night for vulnerable people who will be drowsy. We were OK with the advertised entrance steps as I was there to assist but my husband fell in the night getting to the loo. Elderly/vulnerable people might book thinking a ground floor flat more accessible- please urgently change your misleading description.

We loved our stay here. Location is perfect; close to sea, bars and restaurant. Bed was comfortable and living room was light and airy and a good place to chill after a day outdoors. Main surfaces and areas are perfectly clean but, maybe because it’s the end of the season, some deep cleaning is due. Washer/dryer has seen better days but is in working order. It was good value for money and we would definitely return. I do think overall it could be taken up a notch to warrant 5 stars
