The interior is dotted with delightful floral features to bring a real homely feel; kick back and relax in a number of welcoming spots, including a warming sitting room dominated by an attractive stone fireplace with a woodburner, a smaller reading room for some quieter downtime and a light-filled conservatory looking out over the gardens. Tasty home-cooked meals can be prepared in the charming kitchen and enjoyed in the splendid dining room, when you're not out taking advantage of the fine eateries in the towns and villages in the surrounding area. The three-quarters-of-an-acre garden surrounding the property is bursting with vibrant plants and flowers, which make for a wonderful stroll in the summer or simply admire it from the comfort of your private patio with a glass of wine in hand. Within the village of Stockland there are a variety of walks and a church which has regular services should you wish to attend. Nearby is the small and friendly village of Dalwood, it benefits from a rustic pub serving food as well as an award-winning general store. Tremendous walking and cycling can be enjoyed throughout the Blackdown Hills, while on the fringes there are two fabulous market towns, namely Honiton and Axminster, which both host lovely buildings and a superb choice of amenities to make the most of, they also both offer an interesting local museum. Close by there is much to see including the well-equipped market town of Axminster and Honiston, as well as the beautiful coastline doted with popular spots such as Seaton, Lyme Regis and Sidmouth.
