A very comfortable convenient base for when we visit family in Axminster. Mike made us very welcome and was a very friendly and considerate host. The annexe has been much enhanced by the repairs to the balcony/decking - so lovely to sit outside there and enjoy the glorious large garden with its stunning array of trees. Annexe itself is a good size, well equipped, comfy bed, good shower. Very relaxing, peaceful place to stay, yet convenient for access to the main road ( not tucked away down single tracks like many other properties in the area)

Mike the owner is lively and very helpful. Oh, and I recommend the all-day brekkie at the Grazing Cow

Old Ford Farm Annexe - in some ways - is rather dated and shabby. BUT it is in a beautiful situation in a lovely part of Devon. Yes, the Wi-Fi and mobile strength are both poor and variable. Yes, the bathroom is somewhat basic and small. Yes, the layout of the kitchen is awkward and inconvenient. But it is clean and comfortable - and is ideal for a relaxing holiday with a friendly and helpful host in the adjoining farmhouse. We have stayed in many Sykes cottages over the years and the Old Ford Farm Annexe is one of the best to sit outside and look at the view …. read ……have a coffee? glass of wine ? ….. have a snooze? This was our second visit and, hopefully, we will be back again.
