The Coastal Hideaway is a four bedroom holiday home situated nearby to the Regency coastal town of Sidmouth, perfect for guests looking for a quiet break away with easy access to the beach and local amenities.
After a fun-filled day exploring East Devon, you can kick back on the sofas, relax and watch your favourite programme on the freeview TV. A set of patio doors open out into the garden which has outdoor seating, a lovely spot for relaxing in the sunshine and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to make a lovely meal. Heading up to the first floor, there are three bedrooms, one double, one twin and one single room. There is also a bathroom on this floor for the three bedrooms to share. On the second floor is the fourth bedroom which has a double bed, dressing table, smart TV and an en-suite shower room.
The property is located just a couple of minutes away from a supermarket and is also a short walk from bus routes into Sidmouth or Exeter. This is the perfect coastal base for couples or families with free parking. Just a 4-minute drive into Sidmouth with its pebbled and sandy beach, distinctive red cliffs, and green hills in the distance. Beautiful gardens and leisurely walks, Regency history, beaches, and friendly shops, are all close by in this designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Sidmouth offers everything you could need with shops, restaurants, cafés, and pubs as well as a beautiful beach, swimming pool, cinema, theatre and golf club to keep you busy.
Stroll along the promenade taking in the beautiful views of the Jurassic coastline which stretches for 95 miles and has over 185 million years of history. Why not visit one of the many National Trust properties nearby, such as Bicton Park, or take a trip to Crealy Adventure Park, great for children. For walkers, the coastal path to Branscombe, Beer and Seaton is fantastic, or Dartmoor National Park is within a 30-minute drive. Other places of interest include the Donkey Sanctuary near Seaton, as well as Seaton Tramway.
There are many activities to enjoy such as windsurfing, sailing, walking, birdwatching, golf and tennis, to name but a few. For a taste of city life, Exeter is just 20 miles away with its stunning cathedral and many shops. With beautiful surroundings, The Coastal Hideaway is the perfect choice for a truly memorable holiday. This is a great base for touring East Devon and West Dorset. Beach 1½ miles.

I am sorry to say that I didn't enjoy my stay at the coastal hideaway. It's on a small housing estate which at times i found quite noisy and got the feeling that the residents didn't like us there.I found it a bit unfriendly. The property itself was large well presented and equipped.

We found this property clean with basic/ minimal equipment. Although it can accommodate 7 guests I would question its comfort as it only has a 2 x 3 seater sofa lounge & a compact kitchen with a 4 seat table, fortunately we were a party of 3. The 2 sets of stairs are quite steep & awkward to climb & the 7 steps with a single wobbly open handrail to the back gate & parking are not good for guests with mobility issues. The main reason for my poor review was the problem of a bin 2/3 full on arrival, no recycling or food caddy provision and NO rubbish collection during our 2 week holiday. This resulted in an overflowing bin swarming with ants that infested the hall & kitchen. The owner was aware of these issues before we arrived as she texted a half hearted apology regarding the non emptied bin & hoped our waste would fit in, there was ant powder/ ant trap in the house.Finally we did not receive the key code until 2.30pm the day before arrival with a reminder about 4pm check in ie after I chased it up!
