Camellias at Magnolia Lake offers a tranquil and wildlife-rich experience in Devon's countryside. Guests praised the property's peaceful setting, the opportunity to see deer, and the helpfulness of the host. While some found the cottage dark and suggested brighter lighting and additional heating, the charm of the location and the clean, well-equipped space provided a delightful stay for many.
Most guests found the cottage clean, with only a few mentioning cobwebs or a musty smell after periods of non-occupancy. The property generally seems to be well-maintained in terms of cleanliness.
The location is highly praised for its tranquility, wildlife, and beautiful Devon countryside. However, some guests noted difficulty in finding the property due to inadequate signage, which affects the score slightly.
Guests enjoyed the wildlife views and the cosy atmosphere, but several reviews mentioned the cottage being dark and needing brighter lighting. The heating was also noted as insufficient at times, impacting the overall comfort.
The cottage was equipped with necessary amenities, but guests consistently suggested improvements in lighting and heating. Issues with locks and maintenance during a receivership situation affected one guest's experience significantly.
