You will be pampered with a delicious welcoming hamper, including a charming range of fragrant soaps and lotions, high quality towels and linen and a bottle in the fridge too! This absolutely gorgeous little detached cottage, 16th century in origin, is a truly romantic hideaway and rustic retreat, with delightful personal touches and an extensive library.
Buried in glorious countryside and surrounded by 4 acres of wild, informal but beautiful gardens and woods, recognised by the National Garden Scheme, the cottage is alongside the owners’ home, but has a large area of garden set aside for guests' use, although not fully enclosed and the owners dogs may pop by to say hello! The Bothy is nearby to Dartmoor National Park, famous for its rugged beauty, the Two Moors Walk and the glorious Teign valley, where a visit to Castle Drogo is highly recommended. The cottage is close to the A30, giving easy access to the whole of the South West.
Please note:
The cottage is reached by traversing a long unmade track, which can be difficult for low vehicles, so please take care.
Due to the steep stairs this property may not suitable for those with walking difficulties.

Steps down to the front door lead into
Kitchen with cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and coffee machine (use of owners’ washing machine and dryer by arrangement).

Cosy and most attractive Sitting Room with sofa, Smart TV (All TV channels accessed via online Apps), wood burner, table to seat two and double French doors that open to a Patio Area and the Garden.

Bedroom with king size 5ft bed, wardrobe area and a view across the gardens.
En-suite Bathroom adjoins the bedroom with walk in shower, basin and WC.
Outside
Guests are welcome to use all the grounds that include a large pond with a family of ducks, winding walkways, woods and a glorious selection of unusual trees and plants. Adjacent to the cottage is a large area of lawn (although not fully enclosed), with bench and a patio area outside the living room with table and chairs.
