The hosts, Lesley and Simon made us very welcome and showed us around on arrival. If we needed anything they were very willing to help. The cottage has a lovely bright lounge and conservatory looking over the pretty garden and fields with plenty of birds and wildlife. The modern kitchen has all the appliances and equipment you could wish for. The bedrooms are very well presented and clean and the two bathrooms were both well appointed. We visited Taunton, Seaton, Sidmouth and Torbay during our stay and even Torquay can be reached within an hour. The nearby Dunkerswell airfield is also of interest and on a few days we saw people skydiving above the cottage. There are also a number of good pubs and restaurants within a short distance. We would be very happy to return in the future.

Lesley and Simon were lovely and went out of their way to make sure we were well looked after. The cottage is close to the road but the traffic didn't once disturb us. It's well located, very close to the airfield (which allowed our 11 year old daughter to fly a small plane, a real highlight!!). It was wonderful, as others have said, to have breakfast out in the garden watching rabbits and birds of prey. A couple of small niggles - the shower sometimes doesn't kick in immediately (you just need to lower the shower head), the downstairs loo needed the old 'double flush' and it would have been great to have a few more mugs. Also, we were holidaying with elderly relatives and the nature of the cottage means it has the odd step (from conservatory into dining room dining room into kitchen or downstairs loo) which just meant we had to be a little careful (we were prepared by the cottage description), but overall we had a wonderful time and would definitely consider coming back. Thank you so much!

The hosts gave us a genuinely warm welcome and were very helpful throughout. We especially enjoyed the garden and particularly enjoyed having breakfast outside and watching the birds and wildlife going about their business. We would say that this is the best holiday rental weâve ever had, and canât wait to return.
