Guests say

Pillars is a well-received holiday cottage in Devon, praised for its spaciousness, beautiful garden, and peaceful location. Guests have enjoyed the property's comfort, cleanliness, and the thoughtful touches such as welcome gifts. The property is well-equipped, making it a home away from home for many, with some guests returning for multiple stays. Its proximity to local attractions and beaches adds to its appeal.

Guests consistently describe the property as spotlessly clean, with attention to detail that contributes to a welcoming and comfortable stay. The high standard of cleanliness is frequently mentioned, indicating meticulous maintenance.

The property's location is highly regarded for its quiet, picturesque setting with stunning views and proximity to local amenities, beaches, and attractions. Its central position is ideal for exploring North Devon, although some guests noted difficulty with directions.

The majority of guests found the property very comfortable, with various rooms to relax in and a spacious garden. However, a few guests mentioned that the beds and sofas could be more comfortable, which slightly impacts the overall comfort score.

Reviews highlight the property's well-equipped nature, with all necessary mod cons and additional features like a sunroom and various outdoor seating areas. Some minor maintenance issues were noted, such as a slow-filling cistern and a small television, but these were exceptions in otherwise positive feedback.

Guests appreciated the thoughtful welcome gifts, including treats for both humans and dogs, which added a personal touch to their stay. While these gifts are warmly mentioned, it is important to note that such extras, while delightful, are subject to change and not guaranteed.

It is a large very comfortable property with a huge garden, our dog loves to play in and walk the nearby public footpaths. We have loved our holidays in the area for many years and this a a great location to enjoy them in beautiful surroundings.

Our dogs absolutely loved it. The pond with the little bridge is just beautiful. I can not recommend enough. The two local pubs are superb and the owners always remember you and make you feel very welcome. Lots to do in the day and fantastic place to retreat to in the evening. If you are a national trust member there is lots to do in the area to put your membership to good use. A lovely touch was a personal phone call from the owner when we returned home to make sure we enjoyed our stay and if there was anything he could do to improve any future stays. Honestly I could think of nothing. Thank you for a fantastic holiday.

Wonderfully quiet in the heart of the countryside, yet within easy reach of Braunton. The house is very well equipped. Good local pubs. Lovely local walk for the dog. Saunton sands was brilliant. All in all a relaxing and happy week
