Guests praise The Granary for its cleanliness, comfort, and the friendly hosts, Helen and Dave. The cottage offers a peaceful countryside experience, with easy access to local beaches and amenities in Barnstaple. While some guests mention it can be a bit chilly, the charm of the working farm and the provision of essentials contribute to a highly recommended stay.
Reviews consistently mention that the cottage is clean and tidy, indicating high standards of cleanliness maintained by the hosts.
The location is appreciated for its tranquillity and proximity to local attractions, though it is noted as being remote, which is ideal for those seeking a quiet retreat.
The cottage is generally found to be comfortable, with one review mentioning an issue with the bedsheet and evening temperature. However, the presence of a log burner and comfortable furnishings are noted positively.
Facilities are well-received, with a fully fitted kitchen and necessary equipment supplied. There is a mention of WiFi issues, but they were quickly resolved, indicating good maintenance.
While guests speak highly of the hosts' friendliness and helpfulness, there is only one mention of a welcome pack, which does not provide enough information to score thoughtfulness accurately. It should be noted that such gestures, while appreciated, may not be guaranteed.

Helen and Dave were very welcoming and quickly resolved issues with the WiFi and temperature in the cottage. The Granary is tucked away in the countryside yet well placed for the local beaches, supermarket and Barnstaple. The garden area isn’t enclosed and it’s a working farm so, be aware, that your dog will need to be kept on a lead as soon as you leave the cottage - Dave will let you know if there is a nearby field where the dog can run free.
