The cottage sits less than 20 miles from both Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks, meaning you’ll have an endless supply of walks to investigate and the opportunity to fully embrace Devon’s wild and rugged landscape. Alternatively, hop in the car and head to the coast (23 miles), where you’ll find spectacular sandy beaches, quaint fishing villages and coastal paths boasting magnificent views.

The characterful property has many of its original features and is decorated in pretty pastel shades which complement the cottage’s style. The cosy accommodation has a warming wood burner in the kitchen/lounge, so after a day of exploring you can snuggle together on the sofa in the glow of the fire and watch your favourite programme on the Smart TV. One step leads you to the bright and airy dining room, which looks out onto the pretty courtyard garden. At the end of the day, climb the cottage-style stairs to discover a delightful bedroom, decorated in calming tones for a good night’s rest. Outside, there’s a bistro set in the courtyard where you can sip your morning coffee.

Pack your beach bag and head to the coast for a day at the beach. You’ll have some fantastic sandy beaches to choose from, including the surfing hotspot of Saunton Sands (25 miles) and the traditional seaside resort of Westward Ho! (23 miles). If you like a bit of horticulture, then you’ll love RHS Garden Rosemoor (15 miles). Nestled in a wooded valley, this magical garden is bursting with colour with themed areas including a stunning rose garden.
