If you’re looking for a bit of peace and relaxation you could cast off at the fishing lake or if you’re feeling adventurous you can learn to surf, with two surf shops and a surf school – perfect for all ages and abilities. On an evening, relax with a drink and a tasty meal before enjoying sparkling live entertainment in the Atlantic Blue Lounge.
Just a short stroll away from park is Croyde Village, with its charming thatched cottages, traditional pubs and the delicious Devonshire ice cream parlour, it’s definitely worth a visit! Always popular, Ruda is the perfect spot for exploring beautiful North Devon.

Extremely disappointed we paid a lot of money to stay in a heated apartment that was in such a state of disrepair it was a joke. The heating was hit and miss, we had a standalone heater that after 2 days we noticed was sparking. It was lucky as we are sensible people and do not go out and leave heaters on but if someone had done this then for sure it would have caused a fire. The kitchen was a joke, the hob only had a couple of rings that worked. The dishwasher only had the bottom tray in so never really washed properly. The fridge was either too warm or would freeze your food and milk, it also had broken food baskets. The heated towel rail in the en-suite did not work at all, the door on the shower had broken so they put up a shower curtain however they left the metal pins sticking up where the door should be so you caught your feet on it. The dodgy grouting or filler was awful around the bottom of the shower. The main bathroom bath panel was always falling off. The windows throughout the apartment were so old they let wind in which blew the curtains and added to the coldness (hence the need for a standalone heater I suppose). The back patio door lock was broken so they had put a bolt on this. The sofa was so old when you sat on it you sank into the middle and ended up smothering the person next to you. The T.V. which was supposed to be freeview did not work very well. Hardly any channels, very bad signal continually pixelled and the remote was so old it didn't work very well.I did speak to reception to get some of the issues sorted but no one came until I spoke to someone again. A maintenance man came out to sort the TV he was shocked at how old the TV was especially the broken remote, he tried to replace it but couldnt he said he would switch out the TV but never did. When we noticed the heater was sparking I reported this and it was replaced immediately but other than that we had to put up with the state of the apartment. Not very happy. They did offer us to stay for 2 extra nights for free but we could suffer another night in this excuse of an apartment.
