An exclusive and impressive, gated entrance opens to showcase this beautifully designed 10-acre retreat offering couples a peaceful and luxurious escape in the heart of North Devon. The grounds feature a picturesque carp fishing lake, elegant water features and four resident Alpacas, with plenty of space to explore and unwind. The water fountain gates at the entrance and the central fish fountain in the car park denotes the quality the owner has shown not only in the accommodation but the whole site. Woolacombe’s beautiful sands are 2 miles away, while Croyde is 5 miles away and Saunton being 9 miles away and all provide excellent surfing. Alternatively, head over to Ilfracombe (3.5 miles), where you can see Damian Hirst’s famous Verity sculpture, dine in the quayside restaurants, relax on Tunnels Beach or enjoy a boat trip along the coast. Walkers are well-catered for with nearby access to the South West Coast Path, Exmoor and the popular Tarka Trail, which offers off-road walking and cycling. Other attractions include Watermouth Castle, Lynton Cliff Railway and National Trust Arlington Court, all within 18 miles.
This stylish Fish shaped lodge has been thoughtfully designed for couples, combining comfort and modern luxury following the fishing theme. The open-plan living, kitchen and dining area features a sofa, Smart TV, air conditioning and a well equipped kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. A screened sleeping area provides a comfortable king-size bed, while the spacious bathroom features a large walk-in shower. An integrated Bluetooth sound system with ceiling speakers allows you to enjoy your favourite music throughout the lodge.
Step onto your private patio and enjoy your own luxurious hot tub overlooking the lake (robes and slippers provided). There are also loungers, outdoor dining space and a separate BBQ area, making this the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Down a path to your right, you will find 4 Alpacas. Guests are free to wander around the 10 acres amongst the lake, over the bridges and adjacent fields. Large gates at the entrance ensure privacy. There is private off-road parking for two cars. Ample space in the car park for friends in camper van or motor home, but this is strictly by prior arrangement with the owner (and at extra cost).
Please note that there is CCTV covering the driveway and over looking the lake for security purposes.
