The Farmhouse in South Molton offers a peaceful and secluded setting with ample space for families and groups. Guests appreciate the snooker room, wildlife, and the welcoming homemade cake. The property's remote location provides tranquility, though a car is necessary for convenience. The farmhouse exudes charm and character, with comfortable accommodations and a well-equipped kitchen for a relaxing stay.
Most guests found the farmhouse and grounds immaculate, with a clean and welcoming environment. However, a few mentioned issues with dog hair and cleanliness of kitchenware, suggesting room for improvement.
The location is praised for its peacefulness and beautiful countryside views, ideal for those seeking seclusion. It is noted as very remote, requiring a car for supplies and outings, which some guests found perfect while others considered it less convenient.
The farmhouse is consistently described as spacious and comfortable, with sufficient bedrooms and a warm atmosphere. The presence of steps may be a consideration for those with mobility issues or small children.
Facilities like the snooker room are a hit, and the kitchen is nice to cook in. However, some guests reported issues with the dishwasher, bathroom locks, and a lack of kitchen essentials, indicating a need for better maintenance and stocking.
While guests frequently mention the thoughtful touch of a homemade cake on arrival, there is not enough information to assess the consistency of such gestures across all stays. Therefore, while appreciated, these gifts should not be expected.
Offering spacious accommodation and sharing landscaped grounds, The Farm House also has its own games room with snooker table..

A variety of wildlife can be seen, from wild red deer to kingfishers. On the estate, there are two spring-fed lakes; populated with wild brown trout where you can try your hand at fishing. Access is by foot or by 4x4 vehicle as they are both located along farm tracks unsuitable for cars.

Withypool and the ancient Tarr Steps are both highlights on the moor. Climb to Exmoor’s highest point at Dunkery Beacon, then pop into the Dulverton for an afternoon cream tea. In Lynton and Lynmouth there is plenty to see and do, with the two towns being connected by the funicular cliff railway, or visit the Valley of the Rocks, with access to the Southwest Coast Path.
Head up to Woolacombe, Putborough, Croyde and Saunton for a seaside adventure, offering some of the best beaches in the country with surfing and rock pooling. We went with two other couples and everyone of us throughly enjoyed our stay at the farmhouse. It is remote but we loved it, gave us a chance to relax and enjoy the quietness. We did venture out to Lynton and Lynmouth, about 35 minutes away. Lots of country lanes but we are from Devon so we are use to the lanes.Thank you host for the lovely lemon drizzle cake and for sharing one of your homes

We had a lovely few days at the farmhouse. The hosts were very accommodating and made sure everything was to our liking. If you want a few days away from it all this is the place. The snooker table was an added bonus. Plenty of lovely walks close by would highly recommend

Excellent property and great space for our family of eight with a plus being the snooker room, if you are looking for a peaceful quiet location you can not beat this and would definitely recommend plus look to return.
