Formerly the stable block that housed the three horses that worked the farm prior to the arrival of the first tractors, The Old Stables at Mornacott sits within the farmstead and benefits from glorious country views and a private sun trap terrace. The stable block, which was completely re-built using original materials and nestles under a natural slate roof, has top quality contemporary soft furnishings and quality solid oak furniture. The accommodation on the ground floor comprises a large open plan living space and a separate WC is located off the main living area. The ground floor benefits from underfloor heating throughout. A wide screen television with a separate DVD player, complements the main seating area. The first floor, accessed by an open tread oak staircase, comprises three bedrooms all with en-suites. Outside there is a large fenced terrace with a seating area and barbecue.

Leisure facilities include a shared heated 13-metre indoor swimming pool and sauna, extensive farm walks, croquet lawn, clay pigeon shooting, wildlife safaris and camera deer stalking. There is also a separate barn with a private dining area which can be booked for an additional cost and a private chef can be arranged. Take the opportunity to walk the varied routes available at Mornacott. Clay target shooting is available locally, and particularly popular with children are the “safaris” which help young people understand the countryside in an exciting and inclusive environment and the opportunity to feed the livestock.

Whilst many come to Mornacott to simply unwind and get away from it all, there are a plethora of activities to make your stay enjoyable and interesting. Many choose to explore the wide-open spaces of Exmoor National Park and the beautiful North Devon coastline. The farm is located just 10 minutes from the A361 north Devon link road ensuring easy access to the glorious beaches at Saunton Sands or Woolacombe, both ideal for surfers and bathers alike.

The farm borders Exmoor National Park and is also located a short distance from South Molton with its Farmers and Pannier markets held each week and a full range of shops, pubs and a supermarket. The larger town of Barnstaple is within 16 miles with numerous shops, a theatre and cinema. Beach 23¼ mile.

The Old Stables at Mornacott can be booked with Barn Cottage at Mornacott (UKC4804) and Orchard Cottage at Mornacott (UKC4805) to accommodate up to 20 guests.
