West Down Farmhouse is a beautiful, eight-bedroom country house that can comfortably accommodate up to eighteen guests. Peacefully situated on 30 acres of Devon countryside, it lies on the outskirts of the town of South Molton and perfect for those looking to hold a family get together or some time away with friends.
The house is set over three floors and is extremely spacious, with a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, a utility room, a conservatory, six en-suite bedrooms and eight bathrooms/shower rooms in total. In addition to lots of indoor space, the farmhouse has a private back garden, with a patio area, a lawn, a hot tub, a gazebo, a changing room, a charcoal barbecue and a pizza oven. The kitchen is well-equipped and the adjacent utility area has an additional dishwasher and two washing machines. Family meals can be enjoyed either in the breakfast area within in the kitchen or in the large dining room before you relax in the cosy living room where there are three larger sofas and a Smart TV and a DVD player. On the upper floors are eight comfortable bedrooms, six with en-suite facilities.
Whilst many come to West Down Farmhouse to simply unwind and get away from it all, there are a plethora of activities to make your stay enjoyable and interesting. The local pub is just a 5-minute drive away and the A361 North Devon Link Road is just a couple of minutes’ drive, ensuring easy access to the glorious beaches at Saunton Sands or Woolacombe, both ideal for surfers or bathers alike. South Molton is 3 miles away with a great selection of restaurants, cafés, shops and pubs; the town is known as the gateway to the wide open spaces of Exmoor National Park. The area is also convenient for Barnstaple, Ilfracombe, the stunning North Devon coastline and there are a host of local attractions within easy reach, including a museum, a honey farm and a zoo. There’s also the Milky Way adventure park that is ideal for the kids. Perfectly located for adventures in the South Molton and Exmoor area, West Down Farmhouse is an ideal location for a family or couples break at any time of the year. Beach 21 miles.
