Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the stunning Start Bay coastline, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many popular events such as the annual Dart Music Festival, Dartmouth Food Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta. This historic town boasts interesting landmarks, such as Dartmouth Castle, the Britannia Royal Naval College, and the National Trust’s Greenway House just a short ferry ride away. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through the rolling countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat or ferry trip across to Kingswear, on to Brixham, or down the river to the village of Dittisham. For those seeking sandy beaches, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blackpool Sands and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular beaches just a stone's throw from Dartmouth.

The Bifold window defect, the hot water system defect which involved a trickle of hot water from taps and showers and some of the equipment in the kitchen just strange. I can appreciate that the owners are trying to sell, but if they don't want to repair the Bifold window, or want renters to use too much hot water why don't they reduce the rental as this would be fair? In the kitchen I couldn't find a tea pot, coffee machine or frying pan, this said the equipment there was of a very high standard if a little large even if 4 people staying there. On a positive note the beds were very comfortable and the cleaning very good. We have stayed in several apartments in Dart Marina including Serenity for many years so we know how things should look in these places and how well equip they usually are and that is what you pay for. I don't usually respond to feedback unless good but I felt in this case in view of future customers I should make some comments.

We also reported an issue with one of the bedroom windows. Showers also have issues, in general the property could do with a little bit of TLC. But location is fantastic & we all had a lovely break.

Overall there was a "tired" feel to the flat. Broken window not been fixed,no up to date information/brochures (2017). Poor range of kitchen utensils,no microwave cooking equipment. Should be 5 star at the price ,more like 3+ .
