Often referred to as “The Jewel in Devon’s Crown” Dartmouth lies on the banks of the River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. A beautiful location with an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Dartmouth is a popular destination for many offering a dazzling marina and waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, art galleries and a fine selection of restaurants. The town hosts many events across the calendar the most famous the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, plus many others such as the annual, Dartmouth Food and Drink Festival and Dart Music Festival. Explore the region on water by enjoying a river cruise up the River Dart or take the steam train from Kingswear along the coastline to Torbay. There are some lovely coves along the shoreline and the Blue Flag beach of Blackpool Sands is just 3 miles.
