Sofas and armchairs are grouped in the comfortable lounge, ready for total relaxation, and there’s a Smart TV for entertainment plus a children’s play table in one corner. The dining room has a large, farmhouse-style table, and the adjacent kitchen is equipped with a Neff oven and quartz worktop, making this a practical and enjoyable space for the chef of the holiday to conjure up delicious meals. Take the stairs to the first floor and find all four charming bedrooms, with exposed beams and sloping ceilings (some low in places). One of the two double bedrooms boasts an en-suite shower room, while the other bedrooms share an elegant family bathroom. The garden is just as appealing as the house. Its stone walls are topped with lavender and, as well as gorgeous views, it gets the sun in the afternoon and evening. There’s private parking here for two cars and you can also enjoy everything available at the 10-acre farm site.

With so much on offer nearby it will be hard to choose what to do first. Head to Bantham, Blackpool Sands or any of the other outstanding beaches within 15 miles, or play golf at one of the three courses within the same radius. For younger guests, Woodlands Family Theme Park, Paignton Zoo and the National Marine Aquarium Plymouth are within 25 miles.
