There are many picturesque walks to enjoy within the vicinity, including a stroll down to nearby Tuckenhay

For those who can tear themselves away from this peaceful haven, the village of Harbertonford is just 1.5 miles away with two handy village stores and a pub. The beautiful Creekside village of Tuckenhay is also just 1.5 miles away with two extremely popular pubs to sample.

Washbourne also lies equidistant between the bohemian town of Totnes and the naval town of Dartmouth. The eclectic market town of Totnes with its enticing narrow streets and renowned for its markets, art galleries, unusual independent shops, restaurants and cafes including organic and specialist food suppliers.  Dartmouth in the other direction is a hotspot for all sailing activities and renowned for its upmarket shops and restaurants.  Alternatively, you could just lose yourself along one of the many stunning countryside and coastal walks available on the doorstep and after a day’s exploring, why not sip cocktails or dine alfresco in the delightful private garden.
