This cosy cottage has a woodburner, outdoor dining area with a BBQ for sun drenched evening meals and even tennis courts nearby. If you have little ones in tow, they can explore the wildflower meadow and play area or wander down to the secluded beach and spend the afternoon wave dodging and sandcastle building.
Rosehip Cottage is a darling little cottage, the overall look is quintessentially country, yet with a fresh modern look. With a large wood burning stove for chilly nights, BBQ and alfresco dining area for sunny days and tennis courts for the perfect English summer-time rally. The best part has to be it's unparalleled location. Near to quiet secluded beaches and the magnificently beautiful coastal path, in close proximity to a private cove and sensational countryside, tiny tots and bounding hounds will be in heaven.
The shaker-style kitchen, crowned with stone counter tops, retains its timeless charm with authentic slate floors, while a dining alcove invites intimate dinners. Upstairs, the king-sized bedroom boasts panoramic vistas of the lush meadows through a grand sash window. Beside it, are two more generous bedrooms, one with twin beds, another with snug bunks.
Outdoors, there is a private sun-kissed garden and just beyond is the glorious wildflower meadow complete with its own tractor for little ones to run wild.
Guests to Rosehip Cottage can enjoy hotel-quality white bed linen, big fluffy towels, tea-towels and bath mats as well as local organic milk and an assortment of Fair Trade tea, coffee, sugar, and organic herbal tea to get you started.

Tucked away in the rolling hills above East Portlemouth, Moorstone was the perfect spot for a slow weekend by the sea. The cottage feels like a real home—welcoming, simply styled, and designed for easy living. Mornings started with coffee in the garden, while the children ran about happily, enjoying the open space before we set off for the day’s adventures. With the Salcombe ferry just a short drive away and stunning coastal walks on the doorstep, there was plenty to explore. After long afternoons of sea air and sandcastle building, we returned to cook up simple suppers in the well-equipped kitchen, before sinking into the sofa for a film and a glass of well deserved wine. With comfy beds, plenty of space, and a great location for family adventures, this is the kind of place that makes relaxing effortless. A proper little hideaway we’d love to return to.
