Honeysuckle Cottage is a delightful two-bedroom barn conversion set in a small complex of character properties. This tastefully furnished and well equipped barn conversion offers outstanding rural views over the surrounding countryside and benefits from far reaching sea views from the master bedroom. The kitchen has a range of fitted units and a full range of appliances including a dishwasher and washing machine. Toward the rear of the property is the large spacious lounge with comfortable sofa, two easy chairs and occasional furniture. One the second floor are the bedrooms, two in total. The master bedroom offers a King-sized bed, wardrobe and far reaching views, whilst the second bedroom has two single beds which can be made into a King-size bed on request.
A light and airy family bathroom with a nautical décor, has a bath, shower (over) wash-hand basin and w.c. Outside is a small cottage garden with a table and chairs perfect for alfresco dining. Parking for two cars is provided in the courtyard a short walk away. Two well behaved dogs are welcome. Ideal for a coastal family break, the popular sandy beach at Bigbury-on-Sea is just a short drive away, as is the local seafood restaurant The Oyster Shack, where you can indulge in freshly-caught seafood.
Approximately a two mile drive from Bigbury-on-Sea, with its popular sandy beach, golf course and famous Art Deco hotel on Burgh Island, is the village of Bigbury. From this beautiful countryside area, enjoy walking routes along the Avon Estuary, or visit the Oyster Shack restaurant to try the region’s most popular delicacies. From Bigbury, explore the South Devon coast with its famous sandy beaches and its stunning coastal path or visit some of the charming towns and villages dotted throughout the area, such as Modbury, Salcombe, Kingsbridge and Dartmouth. The city of Plymouth and Dartmoor National Park are also within driving distance.

Thankyou for the treats and for the good weather. I missed having the pretty Poole teapot which I always used but Poole is now collectible so perhaps wisely rescued for itâs safety. Maybe a replacement for leaf tea fans? Can recommend little coffee shop in Modbury car park, The Ship in at Noss Mayo and a quick trip to the Nkuku place near Totnes if you like interiors. Smart sofas but low. I needed to pile up cushions on seat and back to be almost comfortable in the evening. Good tv and WiFi though. Some problems which included a very warped front door which was hard to open and close as well as being very noisy. Fortunately no one in other cottages! There was something wrong with the bathroom light which took a while to respond to pull cord, flashed too strongly when turned on and was super bright - perhaps an electrical fault or bulb too high wattage? I didnât use it at all, especially as in a bathroom with no extractor. Just left door open. Bathroom radiator only ever hot at the bottom suggesting it needed bleeding but could not find key. This is not a new problem so not sure why it has not been replaced if it cannot be bled. All issues reported to C and C in Salcombe as well as note left for housekeeping. Otherwise I had a good week and was lucky with the weather. Thanks to C and C in Salcombe for loan of key when I locked myself out!

We had a good delivery from Sainsburyâs and so didnât use the car all week. There are numerous amazing walks from there with our collie. The cottage was spacious, well equipped and warm and comfortable. Will definitely return.

The cottage is really nice and clean. Yes its very quite and peaceful. The beach is only 2 miles away. We could of stayed there for ever, if we could.
