About this property

Tucked away in the friendly, bustling and beautiful market town of Kingsbridge in the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) is this bright airy home, Hideaway. Hideaway is a very quiet and private home tucked away just a minute from the wonderful, historic Kingsbridge town centre, hence the name 'Hideaway'. Just moments away from amenities and attractions, this Grade II listed, contemporary property is ideal for a family or group of four. Accessed through blue gates from a historic passageway, you will be greeted by the light-filled kitchen, housing an electric oven and hob to prepare heart-warming meals. Mealtimes can be enjoyed in the stylish living/dining room at the dining table, where you can admire the pale grey and blue colour scheme as you savour a glass of wine.

Relax and unwind on the sofa or curl up on a chair as the Smart TV plays your favourite shows and you recount the day's adventures. After an action-packed day, retire upstairs where you will notice the glass bannister and take a shower in the sleek shower room. When sleep calls, choose between a double and twin bedroom, both offering bedside lamps for a night-time read. Start your day with a home-cooked breakfast and a steaming cup of coffee as you gather together to make a plan for the day ahead. Whether it's beaches or walking the South West Coastal Path, discovering local history, heritage and wildlife, or shopping and touring the local area, Hideaway is an ideal location for your holiday.

Hideaway is just paces away from the lively Fore Street, home to an array of traditional shops, quality restaurants and pubs, fishmongers, and family-run butcher; as well as the Kingsbridge Cookworthy Museum where you can learn about the past or visit Red Propeller Gallery to soak in the culture. If you're planning a night out, then live music is just a walk away, and the World's Smallest NightClub is at the top of town! Kingsbridge is at the northernmost point of Salcombe harbour and is famous for its closeness to 17 wonderful beaches all under 10 miles away with Mill Bay (opposite Salcombe Harbour) being the closest just 3.7 miles, with Salcombe itself less than 4 miles; why not go paddle boarding on the estuary? The closest beaches are just 5 miles away - South Milton Beach at Thurlestone Rock and Thurlestone Beach are both sandy and South Milton has all facilities (Toilets and disabled facilities), plenty of parking and the Beach House Cafe on the beach. Salcombe itself is less than 4 miles. There is a paddle board training school within walking distance of the Hideaway, so why not go paddle boarding on the estuary? Explore South Devon AONB either on foot or bike for a blend of county and coast or pack your buckets and spades for the sandy cove, Salcombe North Sands. Large, flat and sandy, this beach is great for watersports and ideal for the kids to build sandcastles and go rock pooling, followed by dinner at the Winking Prawn restaurant with easy parking and good disabled access and facilities.

Visit the historic town of Dartmouth; here you can marvel at maritime exhibitions at Dartmouth Museum and tour the ancient Dartmouth Castle; fuel your day at seafood restaurants or much-loved cafes. For a delightful escape to Devon, choose Hideaway.
