Set in the heart of the beautiful South Hams region of Devon, Quail Cottage is a contemporary cottage just right for that family escape to the country. The open plan design of living, kitchen and dining space mean that the whole family can spend time together in between adventures, so evenings will be all about sinking into one of the sofas and enjoying a family film on the Blu-ray player.

Upstairs, you’ll find stylish bedrooms with views across the surrounding countryside, and what a sight to wake up to after that first night of your stay. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed, perfect for those long lazy lie ins, and the en-suite bathroom means you won’t have to wait for the kids to finish after those family days on the Devon coast.

Outside, the shared garden has plenty of space for the kids to enjoy some fun and games on a sunny day, and the patio table and chairs mean mum and dad can enjoy a quiet glass of wine as the sun sets before heading up to bed.

The popular surf spot of Bantham Beach is just a short drive away, and you can follow in the footsteps of Agatha Christie and hop aboard the famous sea tractor to pay a visit to the rather imposing Burgh island. Closer still, you’ll find the bustling market town of Kingsbridge. With plenty of opportunity to enjoy water sports on the estuary, and a thriving arts and crafts scene, this picturesque town has something for everyone.
